Do Law Students have access to Tax Notes Online?
Answer
The Law Library does have an online subscription for Tax Notes. In order to use it, you will need to set up an account.
For the initial sign-in, you need to be within University’s IP range (i.e., be on campus). If you won’t be on campus, you can set up your computer for remote access--instructions are available in the "Access to Databases" Guide.
Please follow these steps:
- Please go to www.taxnotes.com, and click SIGN IN at the top left.
- In the username field, please enter your lawnet e-mail address. Click Next.
- On the next screen, please click on the blue “Register Here” link.
- You’ll be taken to a Profile page. Enter your name and lawnet e-mail address.
- Choose a password and enter it.
- When you’ve finished the Profile, click SAVE CHANGES.
- You’ll go to the Tax Notes webpage, where you can sign in with your username (your lawnet e-mail address) and the password you chose.
